Our by-appointment babysitting service is membership-based and gives families access to our pool of expertly pre-screened nannies for in-home babysitting appointments via a recurring subscription (weekly, monthly, 3-month, or annual). You can cancel your subscription at any time.*
*NOTE: We don't offer the possibility of paying agency fees on a per-appointment basis. If you need a nanny for a single babysitting appointment, you'll need to set up an account and subscribe to our service for one month. You can then unsubscribe to avoid future automatic membership renewal fees.
We recruit, pre-screen, interview, background check, reference check, train and provide ongoing support for Nannies for in-home babysitting appointments so parents don't have to.
- We go through HUNDREDS of resumes and applications to pre-screen potential nannies to see if they meet our minimum standards.
- We interview candidates to learn more about their interests, experience, and motivations for childcare.
- Our team of recruiters performs background checks and reference checks.
- We then train nannies so they meet our customer service standards every time they're in your home.
- And we provide ongoing feedback and support to help Nannies develop and grow in their nanny careers.
Of the hundreds of applications we receive, only a small handful make it through our entire recruitment process and onto our Babysitting platform.
What does this mean for parents? It means parents can have complete peace of mind when they book a nanny through our babysitting platform.
Who is it for? The service is perfect for families who only need occasional childcare, who book in advance, and who are generally comfortable working with a variety of nannies as opposed to a single, regular nanny. We don't offer emergency or last-minute babysitting.

Nanny availability varies depending on your location, the date and time of your appointments, the ages of your children, and current demand. We cannot guarantee that you'll have a nanny every time you book.
How Does it Work?
Our completely redesigned babysitting booking platform gives you complete control of your appointments and the nannies you book for them.
- Select your membership that works for your needs. You’ll be able to make unlimited babysitting appointments during your membership period.
- Set up babysitting appointments at your convenience directly from your laptop, tablet, or mobile phone.
- View the profiles of nannies in our pre-screened roster.
- Choose, book and confirm nannies for your appointments— all from within the Nannies on Call Babysitting platform. No more waiting for Booking Agents to confirm your appointments!
- At the end of your babysitting appointment, the nanny will issue an electronic invoice which you’ll receive by email.
- Pay the nanny directly using your credit card via Stripe in the Nannies on Call platform.
